Planning Your Rogue River Rafting Trip
A rafting trip with Rogue River Journeys is an affordable, hassle-free vacation that is easy to plan. All you have to do is get to our meeting place and bring a few items. We provide just about everything you need and trip logistics are simple.

The Rogue River is located in southwest Oregon, about 400 miles north of San Francisco (driving directions) and 250 miles south of Portland (driving directions). You should plan on arriving in the area the day before your trip launches.
If you are planning to fly to the area, the Medford, Oregon airport serves most major airlines. Shuttle service is available from the airport to our meeting place. Our Trip Details have information about arranging a shuttle from the airport.
In planning your trip, it is helpful to print out a copy of our Trip Details and Risk and Personal Information form. You'll find links for weather, driving directions and local attractions in Area Information. The main things you'll want to bring are good footwear for use while boating, dry changes of clothing, sun protection and a sleeping bag and tent. With prior notice, we can provide sleeping bags and tents if needed. The Rogue is usually warm although rain and chilly weather can occur any time. We provide:

On the morning of your trip, we meet you at the Galice Resort & General Store at 8:00 am. If you would like to have your car shuttled to the end of the trip, you can make arrangements at the Galice Store. After packing your gear in our waterproof bags, we drive to our put-in spot, about 10 minutes away, load boats, review safety and get on the river.
